Crestview

Ottawa, Ontario

The Alta Vista is located on an infill lot within a mature neighbourhood. Its floor plan maximizes livable area by providing both open and private spaces for all. At the rear of the home, an expanse of windows creates a seamless relationship between the interior and exterior.

Stone, brick, stucco, and the traditional roof allow the building to integrate into its mature neighbourhood while expansive windows, the floating entrance canopy and accents of metal-cladding create a stand-out street presence. The landscape design preserved the lot’s mature trees and added drought-tolerant shrubs and grasses.

The Alta Vista was designed with environmentally conscientious, modern families in mind. The home is ideal for multigenerational families and includes accommodations for ageing in place. There are 3 ensuites throughout, with an overall count of 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. An in-law suite is conveniently located on the first floor at the end of a quiet corridor.

Designed for a modern family, finishes were selected for ease of maintenance. The luxurious finishes include quartz countertops, wood veneer cabinets, motion activated lights and the latest home tech. The expansive kitchen features a generous beverage station adjacent to the foyer, professional grade appliances and ample counter space. The formal dining room has glazed openings which connect it to the main living area and allow natural light through to the home’s core.

The 4,550 sq.ft. home exemplifies “Sustainability with Style.” It boasts high indoor air quality, thermal comfort and high-end environmentally-friendly finishes. The NetZero Ready home achieved an exceptionally high ERS value of 92 (57 GJ/year) and airtightness value of 0.52 ACH at 50 pascals. Its technical assemblies include triple-glazed windows, airtight gypsum system, upgraded insulation, and high-efficiency HVAC. This home is truly unique with its remarkable energy performance and luxurious, spacious design.
