Serafima Korovina

Senior Architect, M.Arch, OAA

Serafima Korovina, OAA, is a registered architect with a diverse professional background spanning high-end residential design and complex public architecture. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto. Throughout her career, Serafima has practiced across both Canada and the United States, gaining valuable insight into varied regional building practices and design cultures.

Upon settling in Ottawa, she spent several years working on large-scale institutional and public sector projects, including major public heritage rehabilitation works. This followed a foundational phase of her career dedicated to acclaimed residential and hospitality projects, ranging from single-family homes to large condominium developments, hotels, and restaurants. Today, her work at Simmonds Architecture allows her to merge these two pillars of expertise, designing intricately detailed projects across multiple scales simultaneously.

Outside of the studio, Serafima is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, cross-country skiing, and canoeing, almost always accompanied by her dog, Peluche. She also enjoys woodworking in her shop during her free time.
